Position Overview

We are seeking a bold, strategic and well-connected Senior Publicist to shape and amplify the public persona of our high-profile CEO, a recognized leader in the wine and spirits category with an unparalleled network of A-list recording artists, cultural icons, and industry tastemakers. This is a high-impact role requiring a media relations strategist, skilled storyteller, and cultural connector who can translate influence into sustained media visibility.

With the CEO preparing to launch a groundbreaking new project outside of his core business, this is an extraordinary opportunity for a highly-talented publicist to dramatically elevate the CEO’s profile, securing top-tier media interviews, speaking engagements, and thought leadership opportunities that include and extend beyond the CEO’s industry. Additionally, this role will oversee the CEO’s social media presence, ensuring a strategic, engaging, and cohesive digital narrative across platforms.

**This hybrid position is based in New York City, with three required in-office days and two remote working days per week.**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Position the CEO as a brand unto himself—creating a compelling public narrative that aligns with his influence, innovation, and vision.
  • Secure top-tier interviews, features, and cover stories across business, lifestyle, entertainment, and industry-specific media.
  • Tap into the CEO’s proven network of A-list artists and cultural leaders to create compelling media moments and organic brand amplification.
  • Craft narratives that bridge CEO’s business achievements, cultural influence and new ventures, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic public presence across both traditional and digital media.
  • Identify and place the CEO in prestigious global conferences, panels, and high-profile events to reinforce his status as a visionary.
  • Oversee the CEO’s personal social media accounts, curating authentic, engaging content that aligns with his brand identity and highlights major projects. Develop a content calendar, oversee copy and visuals and engage with followers to maximize visibility and impact.
  • Anticipate and manage the CEO’s public image, ensuring a proactive and strategic approach to brand perception.
  • Manage high-profile event appearances, ensuring media visibility and strategic alignment with the CEO’s evolving brand identity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience and proven results in PR, media relations strategy, entertainment publicity, executive PR and brand communications
  • A proven track record of securing top-tier media placements and high-profile speaking engagements
  • Deep relationships with business, lifestyle, entertainment, and cultural media and the ability to add value on day one
  • Experience shaping executive profiles, brand narratives, and thought leadership campaigns
  • Proven experience managing high-profile social media accounts, including content strategy, audience engagement, and influencer amplification
  • Expertise in content creation, and brand-building via social media
  • Strong ability to navigate high-stakes media moments
  • Highly adaptable, strategic, and comfortable working with high-profile executives and celebrity networks
  • Ability to balance big-picture storytelling with day-to-day media execution
  • Deep interest in music, culture and trendspotting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a demanding business environment
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ambition, and business acumen

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

The compensation for the position is: $130,000-$150,000
