Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and creative PR Manager, based in New York City, reporting to the Global Director, Marketing and Communications. The ideal candidate will be a highly-motivated self-starter who takes initiative, is passionate about the spirits category and will have a keen understanding of how PR and earned media can drive market success. This role requires an individual who can seamlessly integrate PR within broader marketing campaigns, cultivating relationships with media in the U.S. and working in tandem with media relations counterparts globally to support the company’s brands and its visionary CEO.

**This hybrid position is based in New York City, with three required in-office days and two remote working days per week.**

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing leadership to create and execute annual, brand-focused media relations strategies and tactical execution plans aimed at increasing brand awareness, product trial and revenue for brand across the company portfolio
  • Serve as a dedicated publicist for the CEO, driving strategies to elevate their presence through targeted media engagements, high-impact public appearances and thought leadership opportunities
  • Prepare the CEO and other senior leaders as required for media interviews, ensuring they are briefed in alignment with approved global messaging
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists, bloggers and podcasters to proactively seek opportunities for media coverage
  • Create and distribute high-quality press materials, including press releases, executive briefing documents, FAQs and key message documents
  • Identify, build, and manage relationships with key influencers to develop engaging and authentic content that resonates with target audiences and enhances brand identity; leverage these relationships to amplify brand presence across media and digital platforms
  • Collaborate with and provide support to global PR managers as needed, ensuring consistent messaging and maximizing impact across markets
  • Track, measure and analyze the effectiveness of media coverage, provide clear reporting on the impact of outreach efforts on brand performance and adjust campaigns as directed
  • Ensure consistent communication between marketing, sales, and other internal stakeholders to maximize the reach of PR campaigns and regularly communicate results of outreach efforts
  • Activate the brand at high-profile events and identify opportunities to boost brand visibility
  • Identify and secure opportunities for strategic brand collaborations and partnerships within the US

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience and proven results in PR, with a substantial focus on spirits, consumer goods and/or lifestyle brands
  • Track record of developing and executing integrated campaigns, leveraging PR, social media and influencer engagement to achieve brand objectives
  • Proven expertise in executive communications and personal branding, with the ability to craft compelling narratives
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines efficiently and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ambition, and business acumen
  • Deep interest in music, culture and trendspotting

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

Salary and How to Apply

The compensation for the position is: $90,000-$130,000
